I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills. I previously served as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Auburn University at Montgomery and Project Specialist at the Alabama State University Center for Leadership and Public Policy. I have experience providing consulting services and training in the following areas: public-sector ethics, nonprofit management, social media communications, and project management.

I have a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Public Policy from Auburn University, a Master's in International Relations, and a Bachelor's in International Studies, both from Auburn University at Montgomery. My disciplinary orientation includes concentrations in public service ethics and leadership, public management, and international relations and organizations.

I served (2013-2015) on the Board of Directors of Lunches for Learning, a nonprofit organization helping break the cycle of poverty in rural Honduras by providing lunches and nutritional supplements to impoverished elementary school children. Currently, I am a member of the Council of the Southern California Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA).

Before my academic career, I played professional soccer in Guatemala. I was part of Guatemala’s Under-17 and Under-20 National Soccer Teams. I also spent a few years in the shoe manufacturing and sales industry.

In addition to my academic career, I am an entrepreneur currently working on agricultural ventures in Guatemala.
